Kente flags off campaign in Taraba

Kente, who was presented with the party’s flag at the occasion by its national chairman, Chief Olu Falae, assured the Taraba people of better days if voted to power.
He urged those planning to rig the forthcoming elections to shelve such plans as the people of Taraba would not allow anybody to steal their mandate.
Kente said his decision to dump the PDP was as a result of injustice and lack of level playing field witnessed during the conduct of the party’s primaries in Abuja.
He said his change of political party had not in any way affected his earlier commitment to ensuring the development and wellbeing of the people of Taraba if elected governor on February 28.
“I wish to use this opportunity to urge all those who have the interest of Taraba State at heart to support and vote for me and my team on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the forthcoming elections,” he appealed.
He said if elected, he would explore other means of improving the economy of the state without solely depending on federal allocations and dwindling federal allocations accruing to the state.
Earlier, Falae had called on the people of Taraba to vote massively for SDP, saying that a vote for the party is a vote for justice.
