The Katsina State House of Assembly yesterday passed the N114bn 2016 Appropriation Bill into law.
Governor Aminu Masari had last year proposed a budget of N111bn to the assembly. However, after consideration, the assembly increased it by N3bn.
It approved the budget after members deliberated on the report of the Committee on Appropriation which scrutinised the bill as proposed by the governor. After deliberations, the Speaker, Aliyu Muduru, asked the clerk to forward a copy to the executive for assent.
