They said the village has been left behind in all aspects of infrastructural development compared to other districts in the state.
Mr. Zamani Dogonyaro, head of the village said this while receiving donations of medical and surgical equipment from the management and staffs of Rural Rescue Outreach Foundation to Foltz Medical Centre at Katari, along Kaduna-Abuja express road.
According to the village head, the area has been virtually cut off from government presence and that the only local government clinic in the community lacks basic amenities and drugs.
Speaking earlier, the Medical Director of the centre, Dr. Ugochukwu Uzoma it was rare to find people acting in manners that would touch the lives of people living in rural communities.
He also commended the efforts of the foundation saying the kind gesture will re-energise the mission of the staff by going further to serve the people of the community and also assist accident victims along the express way.
“We want to assure you that the material will not be sold for personal gains but for those the organisation had in mind to donate it,” he said.
The coordinator of the NGO, Pastor Solomon Audu said: “The project was started since three years ago and had covered more than eight states in the country, because charity is the heartbeat of God.”
