Dr Usman Bashir, a medical doctor said people are disenfranchised but there should be the belief that bottle necks exists, and definitely they would continue to support INEC as they hope it would deliver while praying that people would not be offended as he said a lot of people were stunned by the adjustment.
Hajiya Najaatu Bala a senatorial aspirant in Kano and leading female activist said this was the first time in the nation`s history that we are seeing this and it is an unfortunate situation adding that as stakeholders they were left in dismay.”We were shown these election materials and they were sealed at the office of the INEC here and then we now hear these absurd statements, it is the fault of the security men who are loyal to Jonathan and if they would do these a million times we would come out to vote and change the system” she said
A senatorial aspirant Alhaji Sule Halilu said the adjustment should be seen as a blessing if it would bring the confidence in the people and restore hope, adding that change does not come so easily and that despite the disappointment it has caused to the electorate and other stakeholder it should be seen as a step towards bringing change and that whatever constraints are faced should be anticipated and be embraced in good faith.
