Kano state commissioner of finance Professor Kabiru Isa Dandago has advised the board of Kano Pillars on the need to make plans for a new stadium considering the location of its present ground and the fact that its supporters keeps growing by the day.
Professor Dandago made the call when the chairman of the club Alhaji Tukur Babangida paid him a courtesy call in order to cement the existing cordial relations between the state’s biggest club and the ministry of finance.
The commissioner added that the state government structured the board of the club with aim of reviving the glory of the club and advised them to used their wealthy experience to achieve the set goals.
He also urged the board to partner with private organizations within and outside the country to construct a modern stadium outside Kano municipality considering the number of the club followers in the state and beyond.
Earlier, the chairman kano pillars football club Alhaji Babangida said he was in his office to strengthen the existing relationship and intimate the commissioner on challenges facing the club and best way forward.
Babangida also commended Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his immense concern for the team and pledged to justify the confidence repose in them by taking the team to the top of Nigerian football where they rightly belong.
