The emir, who spoke after paying an unscheduled visit to hospitals in Kano State, said the strike had not only grounded medical services in the country, but exposed the citizenry to untold hardship.
“The conditions of patients who are still in the hospitals are terrible because they are not being attended to properly. We are calling on them to look into the situation in the interest of the masses,” the emir who addressed journalists through his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Mannir Sanusi, said.
The emir reiterated his readiness to wade into the impasse between health workers and the government with a view to tackling the situation.
