At least 138 people were said to have been killed when gunmen attacked Fandan-Karshi, Dogon Daji, Kobin, Naidu, Kabamu- Karshi Hayin Kwarta, Kabani and Gani villages. The attacks between Monday and Wednesday displaced hundreds of people while dozens of cattle were either killed or missing. Several houses were also burnt down.
Kaduna State Chairman of the ACF Alhaji Ramalan Yero told Daily Trust yesterday that the attacks on the villages were disappointing especially when the forum is trying hard to promote unity among the ethnic groups.
He said the state chapter would work with the forum’s headquarters on effective means of conflict resolution to check future occurrence.
