The Federal Ministry of Justice and other anti-corruption agencies are keeping recovered assets worth N4 trillion, the Nigerian Association of Auctioneers (NAA) has said.
The National President of the association, Alhaji Aliyu Kiliya made this revelation at its 20th Annual General Meeting in Abuja. He said the figure is as a result of the combined “hazardous assets” being kept by the EFCC, ICPC, Ministry of Defense, Police, NSCDC, and NNPC.
“My concern is for government to dispose the assets on time so that there will be no more wastage because the more they stay, there will be depreciation, there will be technical deformity and the items will lose their value as a result of delay in taking action,” he said.
