The poll said 34 percent of respondents suggested that free education is the way out of child labour with 27 percent suggesting creation of more job opportunities as panacea while 19 percent advocated creation of poverty eradication programmes and youth empowerment schemes.
Tagged, ‘Child Labour Special Edition Poll,’ the report said 80 percent of respondents indicated that there is a high rate of child labour in Nigeria and 86 percent confirmed that they usually  see children engaged in physical labour and jobs in their areas.
72  percent of the respondent blamed poverty as the root cause of the high prevalence of child labour in the country.
