Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has attributed the success of his administration to the harmonious working relationship between it and the workers.
Ambode said this in Lagos at a seminar on ‘Effective Management Strategies in Labour Relations Practice’.
The governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pensions, Dr Akintola, Benson Oke, said:’’ It is on record that for the four years I have the opportunity of piloting the affairs of the state, there was no industrial disharmony.
“This assisted us to deliver on our promises and today, there is no way we shall be counting on our successes in office without having to acknowledge the cooperation we have enjoyed the staff of the Lagos State Public Service’’.
The governor, however, emphasised the need for the state civil servants to invest more of their times in acquiring management and innovative skills required in the 21st century, saying that would help in ensuring the state continues to maintain its prime position among its peers.
“I charge you all to re-dedicate yourselves to the advancement of the status and the expansion of the capacity of the Lagos State Public Service,’’ the governor said.
