Ruling on the bank’s application questioning the jurisdiction over the matter, Justice K.I Amadi said the 1999 constitution empowers the Industrial court to adjudicate on labour matters between organization and employees.
The court had earlier ruled that the defendant, the NPF Micro Finance Bank Plc, its servants, officers, agents or privies are restrained from further tampering with the claimant/applicant’s right as General Manager (Operations) in the defendant’s bank pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice in the case.
But the bank through a letter dated June 26, 2013 and signed by the company’s secretary, Idemudia O.J., terminated the appointment of the claimant.
