Imansuagbon who recently joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said he was willing to join the race for the governorship after a failed attempt in 2012 under the PDP.
Imansuagbon who is an educationist said his main concern was to develop the state educational system in order to make it the leading state in Nigeria in terms of education.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of about 300 students of Pace Setters Academy in Abuja, Imansuagbon, said he was ready to run for governor in the state “by God’s grace.”
He said his sojourn into education has helped him contribute to building the country’s future, which needed strong political will for support.
He said education was crucial for “creating students ready for tomorrow that will help democracy,” adding that it would produce “children who will improve on where we have failed and move on. The Nigeria of tomorrow lies in their hands. They’ve been equipped for tomorrow; they will solve the problems of tomorrow.”
