Over 14 million Nigerians have been affected by the humanitarian crisis in North east Nigeria, the African Philanthropy Forum (APF) has said.
Among this population, about 7.7 million of the affected are in dire need of humanitarian aid, it noted in a statement.
The APF said this on the backdrop of its regional meeting on Humanitarian Aid in Abuja yesterday.
The meeting entitled “Amplifying Humanitarian Aid in Nigeria,” will address the humanitarian crisis in the Northeast, examine tailored solutions and how collaboration among stakeholders is essential to provide sustainable and life-changing aid in Nigeria.
