The single deadliest day, according to the report, was March 14, the day that insurgents attacked the Giwa Barracks in Maiduguri, Borno State. Amongst the testimony gathered by Amnesty International were the voices of witnesses who described what happened when the military found 56 of those who had escaped from the Giwa barracks.
