The interim National Chairman of the Movement for National Reformation (MNR), Chief (Dr) Eugene Enahoro, has called on Nigerians to lower the hostility in their rhetoric and reach a common ground for the development of the country.
He said since time immemorial, the peoples of Nigeria have lived in close proximity and must settle down to resolve their differences peacefully and with mutual respect, consideration and fairness.
Chief Enahoro was last week in Benin, Edo State, elected MNR chairman of the movement.
The organization was founded by his father, elder statesman Anthony Enahoro, CFR, to ensure that the dreams of Nigeria’s founding fathers in relation to unity and progress in diversity were not lost.
The MNR caucus observed that at this critical juncture in Nigeria’s history, where clamour for self-determination, constitutional amendment and political restructuring is reaching a crescendo, there was need for sufficient publicity to impact positively on the situation.
Chief Enahoro said he was willing to assist all governments committed to change and improvement in the welfare of all Nigerians.
