The federal government has reechoed its commitment toward carbon-neutral cities and towns which are critical for climate resilience in the country.
The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, said this while addressing a gathering to commemorate the 2021 World Habitat Day and World Cities Day held in Abuja.
The minister, represented by the director Planning, Research and Statistics in the ministry, Mr. Jimmy Martins, called for increased synergy by all stakeholders to fight carbon emission in the country.
He said the main objectives of the 2021 World Cities Day 2021 were to increase awareness on climate change adaptation and urban resilience and inspiring effective climate action at the local level.
