A gospel artiste, Dunsin Oyekan, was reportedly involved in a road crash along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, on Saturday.

The crash occurred at the Isara axis of the notorious highway.

Pictures of the badly damaged black jeep involved in the crash have gone viral on social media. The occupants reportedly escaped in the crash unhurt.

The Spokesman of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, told Daily Trust she could not confirm the incident.

She said the only crash recorded on the road occurred on Saturday morning where one person died.

“The accident that occurred along the route was around 6:30am before Iperu bridge and one person died. Apart from that no other crash along that axis.

“I have got accident reports from today up till 9pm. But If I can confirm that it occurred, I will let you know,” Okpe told our correspondent.

However, Oyekan confirmed the accident in a post on his verified Instagram account, saying “I am perfectly okay.”

He, however, was silent on the details of the road crash.

The post reads “Indeed God is sweet to worship (Oluwadunsi). God is my glory, the lifter up of my head. The keeper of Israel neither sleeps nor slumber, he watches over his word to perform it. Glory to God now and forever more. I remain in awe of God.

“I am perfectly ok… body, soul and mind. Thank you everyone for the calls, messages, prayers and well wishes.”
