The Gbong Gwom Jos, Jacob Gyang Buba, has called on Plateau indigenes and residents of the state to live in peace and harmony and forgive one another for the hurt of the past occasioned by years of crises.
Speaking when over 2000 youths and other groups from across the state staged a peace walk to his palace, the paramount rulers said all the tribes and religions in the state needed one another to survive and flourish.
Benue/Plateau Trust reports that the Peace Walk was organized by Plateau State Peace Building Agency in commencement of the week long activity heralding the upcoming International Peace Day.
The Paramount leader, who appealed to the youths to shun cultism, drug abuse and political thugerry said no meaningful development can be achieved under the atmosphere of crises and tasked them to be agents of change.
The Gbong Gwom also thanked the government and administration of Governor Simon Lalong, saying his peaceful posture and peace initiatives had enhanced peaceful co-existence in the state.
