South West chairman of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas workers (NUPENG), Comrade Tokunboh Korodo, told our correspondent in Lagos that his union was determined to saturate the region with fuel to ease the pains of the people.
He said: ‘We have been loading seriously from various depots in the state in the past 24 hours. We want to alleviate the pains people have gone through in the past few days due to the scarcity of the product’’.
Korodo promised that scarcity would vanish as a result of efforts of truck drivers in the distribution of fuel to all parts of the county.
Our correspondent reports that fuel service stations on Ikorodu Road, Falomo, Ikeja, Lagos Island and other parts of the metropolis received products yesterday and dispensed at the official price of N87 a litre to customers.
