City News learnt that no life was lost in the incident as the students were already in their classes when the fire started at a block in the school’s male hostel around 8:45am.
The fire razed down the entire block along with the belongings of about 176 students of the school.
Donating the materials to the school’s management, Senator Aduda said when he heard about the incident, he sent his Chief of Staff, Audu Dabara, to go and sympathise with the school and also look at where his office can assist.
Represented by his senior legislative aide, Alhaji Danjuma Kawu, the senator said he bought the materials to assist the students affected in the disaster.
While praying against such incident in the future, the senator urged the students to use the relief materials judiciously.
Responding, the school’s Vice Principal (Administration), Yusuf Eseyin, thanked the senator for the gesture, assuring that the materials will get to the affected students.
Items donated by the senator included 162 treated mosquito nets, 190 buckets, 200 mathematical sets, 150 pair of socks, 190 sponge cases and exercise books.
In a related development, the Senator Aduda has donated two motorcycles and a laptop to three people in Bwari Area Council in recognition of their support in the area.
