The Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi (UAM) in Benue State today, matriculated a total of 5, 069 students for the 2017/2018 academic session.
Of the number, 4, 369 are regular students while 150 are said to be in the sandwich programme and 550 postgraduate students.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Anande Richard Kimbir, charged the new students to define their priorities and settle down quickly to face the challenges ahead as they may encounter some discomfort in their chosen course of study.
Kimbir also informed that an additional degree programmes in Biochemistry, Botany, Microbiology and Zoology have been set up in the College of Science while necessary structures are being put in place for drastic improvement of the institution’s global ranking.
