He said the university had already established a Faculty of Medicine and its pioneer dean is a renowned medical practitioner in the United Kingdom, Professor Usman Ahmed, adding that the state government had already donated the Dutse General Hospital to the university to be upgraded as a teaching hospital.
He said the number courses in the university now stand at 17, adding that the number of students is now 2,393 while there are 1,332 academic and non-teaching staff.
