Federal civil service gets 5,818 directorate level officers in 3 years

Ayo stated this weekend in a press briefing where she added that in 2014 alone, over 100 disciplinary cases were considered by the commission, with four pending cases still under interrogation security agencies.
She stated that out of the several disciplinary cases challenged by the affected civil servants, over 18 cases were successfully prosecuted and won by the commission.
Giving a breakdown of the promotions, the chairman said that in 2012, 1, 229 out of 4, 034 representing 30.46 passed the promotion examination while in 2013, 2, 672 out of 4,493 representing 59. 47% passed, with 1, 917 representing 59% passed this year’s examinations.
She added that the examination processes were transparently done, adding that “from year 2012, the conduct of promotion exercise took a new dimension based on our resolve to exhibit transparency and integrity in the process.”
However, she added that the number of officers promoted depended on the vacancies available and which is statutorily declared by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
