The academic staff of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Zaria have elected deans for its seven schools.
Dr. Ibrahim Tanimu emerged as Dean, School of Education, while Malam Suleiman Balarabe was returned unopposed for the school of Languages.
Others elected were Dr. Tunde Adesina, Vocational and Technical Education, Malam Lawal Ibrahim Hunkuyi, Arts and Social Sciences, Malam Abdullahi Ahmad Gital, Early Childhood and Primary Education, Hajiya Rahinatu Kazaure, Special, Adult and Non-formal Education and Dr. Musa A. Akpemi, Sciences.
In his remark during the inauguration, the acting Provost of the college, Dr. Ango Ladan, urged the new deans to join hands with the management to move the institution to greater heights.
In his response, the chairman of the committee of deans, Malam
Suleiman Balarabe, said the goal of all academic staff was to ensure that the FCE Zaria maintained its status of a leading college of education.
