President of the IFMA Abuja Chapter, Ahmed Abubakar, who addressed a press conference in Abuja, said recognizing and participating in World FM Day activities anima…
He said the objective of the day is also to highlight the valuable contributions facility management is making to sustain able global communities i.e. productive, safe, healthy and secure work environments.
Abubakar said the theme for this year “creating, Learning and Sharing” is perfect to ensure we place a spotlight on the work of facility managers and recognizing their contribution to productivity, health and safety in our built environment.
He said good facilities management can deliver flexibility, adaptability and sustainability and can help organizations respond to cost pressures or the need for greater security and also enable remote and peripatetic working.
Ahmed Abubakar said the Abuja Chapter of IFMA was established on December 20, 2007 to promote the facility management profession and create educational opportunities to stakeholders in Abuja and neighboring states in Nigeria.
