Head of the mission, Santiago Fisas, who led a delegation to present an interim report to President Goodluck Jonathan at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja yesterday, congratulated him on the conduct of the election.
“The elections are so important for the people of Nigeria, but it is an African example for Africa and countries in the world. You know many people didn’t expect that the elections would be peaceful,” he said
Fisas said he would come back to the Villa in July to give the final report containing his mission’s recommendations to the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.
