This was stated by the managing director of Equipment Hall Limited, Mr. Gbolahan Olayomi when he and some officials paid a courtesy visit to the management of Covenant University at Canaan Land, Ota.
Olayomi said the proposed business partnership with the varsity would take the ICT department of the institution to a greater level in terms of knowledge, training and exposure of students in ICT.
He said a new programme, Prestigio Multiband would be introduced to the department to help achieve the desired effects.
The Prestigio Multiband programme, according to him, has so much to offer in terms of classroom activities where lecturers and students can interact effectively.
He said: “Everything taught can be recorded, saved and sent straightaway to the students.”
He further explained that Multiband had the ability to work with any device regardless of the type, adding that necessary steps had been taken to ensure continuous running of the project for the benefit of the students.
In his remark, vice chancellor of the university, Professor Charles Ayo, said the idea was a welcome development provided it would help enhance the vision and goal of the institution.
Ayo said: “Based on what we have seen today, we would like to fine-tune the issue of partnership to make it suitable for what we require as an institution.’’
He said their immediate goals for the year were innovation, product development, and how to contribute to the development of the country.
