At an extraordinary general meeting in Lagos, ACEN President, Dr Temilola Kehinde, said one of the charges often leveled against the consulting engineering sector is that the sector has not witnessed major growth because most of its firms are quite small.
According to the ACEN however, there is an urgent need for these firms to start pulling resources together so as to be strong enough to be able to bid and win big projects from multinationals especially those in the oil and gas sector.
While speaking on “Professional Business Growth through Mergers and Acquisition”, Dapo Okubadejo of KPMG Advisory Services said apart from mergers and acquisitions, engineering firms might choose to go into partnership.
