DoorStep, an online food delivery and logistics company has commenced operations in Lagos.
The company said it has debuted to solve the problem of logistics in the delivery of food and parcel across in a fast, cost effective and efficient manner.
The founder and CEO of Doorstep Dispatch Services, Justin Emeka said he came up with the idea after a thorough study of the traffic problem in the state which has hampered free movement.
According to him, with DoorStep, residents can eat good food and receive parcel at their doorstep with a simple click of the app which could be downloaded on Google play store or iOS store.
Emeka explained that the company had partnered with over 50 restaurants which the app users could choose from when ordering for food.
He said: “I was never really a tech person but I have studied the world and I have realised that the world is moving towards technology.
“Every business is trying to fit their entire operations into a mobile app or a website and that increased my curiosity.
“After downloading the app, you register and then find a list of all choice restaurants. It is as simple as ordering, tracking and receiving.
“For the parcel delivery, you open the parcel delivery app, see your pick-up location, send it and come pick it up. This is the first of its kind.
“My organisation is responsible from the take-up point to the delivery point. Our prices are very competitive and lower than what other delivery companies are charging. The price of the food is the same price the restaurant charges”.
He explained that the company had trained its dispatch riders to work in line with DoorStep’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
