The 5,581 cancelled flights were out of total 22,511 flights recorded within the three-month period across airports in the country.
According to data compiled from the portal, Air Peace cancelled 1,390 flights, out of a total 2,722 flights.
It was followed by Aero Contractors with 1,354 cancellations, out of its 5,558 flights, Azman cancelled 926, out of 1,590 flights, Arik Air cancelled 818, out of its 7,565 flights in the last three months.
Other airlines captured in the chart include: First Nation, Dana Air, Medview, and Overland Airways.
According to the flight performance monitor, out of the 22,511 flights recorded within the three-month period, a total of 11,530 flights were delayed by these airlines.
However, 5,400 flights made it on time.
Arik recorded more flight delays than the other seven carriers.
The total number of 4,543, out of its 7,565 flights for the quarter, was delayed.
It was followed by Aero Contractors with 3,201 delays, out of a total 5,558 flights for the period.
In terms of flight performance for the quarter, First Nation ranked highest with 46.4 per cent performance.
The airline only cancelled 50, out of its 702 total flights, 326 flights departed on time while 326 were delayed.
It was followed by Dana Air with 44.6 per cent and Arik with 29.1 per cent flight performance.
Hazy weather and cold temperature enveloped some parts of the country at the beginning of the year, causing flight delays, rescheduling and cancellations.
Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, in December launched the Aviation Passengers Service (APS) portal www.aviationportal.com.ng .
The APS portal was designed as a one-stop platform that provides a single platform where the flying public can access real time information about airlines operations and services at the nation’s airports.
