The proposed amount comprised N161.6bn or 49.32% for recurrent expenditure and N166bnor 50.68% for capital expenditure (CAPEX).
Presenting the budget to the House of Assembly,  Uduaghan said the blueprint was driven by the successes recorded in various sectors of the state’s economy in the past seven years up to the 2014 Budget of Consolidation, Sustainable Economic Growth and Development. According to him, the current budget aimed to consolidate the achievements of the previous one and complete all ongoing projects and programmes that will make his administration achieve its goal of making Delta  one of the most industrialised and developed states in Nigeria by 2020.
