Delegate calls for regulation of religion

“I want to say that there is a need and I have not really heard much said on that, there is a need for regulation of religion in Nigeria; not for religious practice but the preaching of religion.
“Today we have itinerant preachers, roaming preachers moving with their microphones from city to city, village to village preaching inciting words that cause all kinds of emotions to all sorts of people and they begin to wreak havoc on the innocent. We must regulate religion,” she said.
She added that: “We have pastors also blaring from microphones inciting words against people’s prophets and religions that they don’t understand. We must regulate religion.”     
Speaking on the need for an inclusive society, Paloma who said Nigeria must come out of the current quagmire in one piece and “cannot afford to leave anybody behind. We have excluded many because of where they come from, because of who they are by reason of disability, gender, age, geographical location and social status.”
