Former Chief of Army Staff, General Abdulrahman Dambazzau was yesterday inaugurated as Chairman of the Board of the University Advancement Centre of the University of Ibadan.
General Dambazzau, with the inauguration, replaces former Head of State, General Abdusalami Abubakar, the pioneer chairman of the board, who resigned recently “due to so many national and international commitments.”
Members of the Board include Dr. Kemi Emila, the National President of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association; Dr. Bode Olajumoke, Chief Chambers Oyibo, Ambassador Folake Marcus-Bello, Dr. Yemisi Shyllon, Mrs. Funso Adegbola, Dr. Kaine Dosekun, Chief Olabisi Ogunjobi and Mr. Hyacinth Kyaagba.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, General Dambazzau expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and the other members to steer the ship of the University Advancement Board.
