The police in Ogun State have arrested two suspected members of the Eiye cult group for forcefully initiating a student into their group.
The suspects, Owoseni Gbemisola and Ogunsola Ayo, were arrested following a report by to the police at the Ago Iwoye Division by the victim, a student of Olabisi Onabanjo University.
The victim told the police that he was lured to Ijebu Igbo by one Yemi Justice aka JP under the pretense of giving him a job, and that on getting to Ijebu Igbo, the Justice, alongside Owoseni Gbemisola and Ogunsola Ayo, blindfolded him, beat him and forced him to be initiated into the Eiye Confraternity.
The police spokesman in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told newsmen on Sunday in Abeokuta that following the report, detectives first arrested Gbemisola at Ago Iwoye, while Ogunsola was traced and arrested in their hideout, adding that Yemi Justice who lured the victim was on the run.
