Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jibrin has warned various groups issuing quick notices to stop hate speeches.

In a statement, Jibrin said all Nigerians should work together to sustain the peace and unity of the nation.

“I want to advise all against hate speeches. To continue the call for Igbos to leave the north is enough joke which must stop immediately.

“Another call from militants that northerners and Yorubas should leave must stop. The recent call by Benue youths that the Fulani herdsmen living in Benue must leave should stop because recently the Fulani Elders Concern Group met and sent a delegation under my chairmanship to visit all parts to reconcile between Fulani herdsmen and farmers and various communities. We started with Taraba.

“A true Northerner does not at all support Igbos to leave the north considering that there is no village or community in the north where Igbos does not live. Many concern Northerners have a movement called The Protection of Igbos in the North under my chairmanship. We must be allowed to live freely in any part of Nigeria,” he said.
