A case filed against Emir Muhammadu Sanusi ll by his uncle Salim Abubakar Bayero over demolishing of structures in the palace may be withdrawn today, Daily Trust, learnt.
It would be recalled that Bayero has filed a case before Justice A. T Badamasi, challenging the Emir’s plan to demolish some historical structures in the palace.
But an impeccable source hinted Daily Trust that an application for discontinuing of the case has been filed before the A. T Badamasi court yesterday.
The application for discontinuance is to be heard today (tomorrow), our reporter gathered.
Daily Trust reports that last Friday, the court had issued an interim injunction order restraining the Emir from demolishing any structure in the palace pending the determination of the case.
The court has also fixed November 12, 2015 for hearing of motion of notice.
