The ruling All Progressive s Congress (APC) in Bwari Area Council in the FCT has approved the expulsion of the former chairman of the council, Isah Dara-Bwari, from the party.

Dara-Bwari and four other members of the party in the area were expelled over alleged anti-party activities during the last council polls in the area.

A letter to the chairman of the party at the Bwari Central Ward, where the affected members came from, said the decision followed the report of the disciplinary appeal committee set up by the party to look into the incident.

The letter signed by the party’s chairman in the council, Ali Tanko Shere, advised anybody not satisfied with the decision of the party to peacefully protest, in accordance with the party’s constitution in Article 21c, i,ii, iii and v.

The affected members, which included Ephraim Elisha, Allayafi Dara, Bako Zuma and late Sylvanus Gajere, were initially expelled by the executive committee of their ward.

Speaking on the expulsion, the chairman of the party in Bwari Central Ward, Dantani Kpaloko, said they were expelled for their anti-party activities after they were given fair hearing to defend themselves, advising party members in the area to abide by the party’s constitution.

But when contacted on phone, yesterday, Dara-Bwari, said that the action was illegal, null and void.
He said that he had already appealed to the FCT office of the party.
