Abubakar Isa, 47, of Bakin Kura, wants to trek from Bauchi to Abuja in solidarity with President elect General Muhammadu Buhari, police has said. He is the latest in a rash of solidarity trekkers who have emerged since Buhari’s win in March. Police Public Relations Officer DSP Haruna Mohammed told news men yesterday in Bauchi that “On the 29/4/2015 at about 09:30am Isa came to the Bauchi State Police command headquarters and disclosed his intention to trek on foot from Bauchi to APC National Secretariat Abuja tomorrow Thursday 30/4/2015 at about 6am, Point of departure is Total filling Station, opposite Mobil roundabout Bauchi. ” He said Isa can be reached through Gsm number 08030667344 and advised Members of the public are urged to take note.
