BON appeals for staff Training in the N’East

Abadam noted that Zone B comprised of broadcasting stations of the six states in the North East region.

The Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) has appealed to governments to support training and retraining of its staff to compete with its peers across the country.

The BON chairman, who is also the General Manager of Borno Radio and Television (BRTV), Adamu Abadam, made the appeal at the 13th meeting of the Zone B members held Thursday at Yobe State Television in Damaturu.

Abadam noted that Zone B comprised of broadcasting stations of the six states in the North East region.

He said the organization, which was established in 1973, was charged with the responsibility of ensuring welfare of media organisations.

He said the meeting would explore areas of collaboration in the zone which include content sharing in terms of news and programmes among others.

In his remarks, the Yobe State Commissioner for Information, Abdullahi Bego, said the Buni administration is determined to rehabilitate media organisations in the state.
