Ex-basketball international Samuel Oguche has disclosed that Bullet Energy drink is set to embark on serious grass-roots basketball development in line with the passion and policy of the National Sports Commission.

At the day 2 of the 3rd edition of the Bullet Energy drink basketball youth camp holding in Onitsha, Anambra State, the Uk based Oguche stated that the move is to help stem the sliding tide in Nigeria’s sports.

Oguche added that the effort will  produce basketball stars that will represent the country in future international competitions. 

According to him, the Bullet Energy project would start with a Basketball Academy which will be supervised by  a consortium of experienced basketball coaches to get the kids off the street.

Oguche said Bullet Energy drink is into sports development because “ the brand believe that sports has the ability to change lives, transform communities, shape the future of nations, reduce crime, improve behaviour, increase ethical, democratic and racial tolerance”
