Adum also told newsmen in Makurdi that his government would initiate a collective debate in new Benue Economic and Social Transformation (BEST) plan where every indigene will be allowed to participate if given the mandate in 2015.
“My government will stimulate affirmative action on neighborhood policing by implementing the relevant provision of the neighborhood policing law. Also, community-policing will be enveloped in conjunction with the state police, and local vigilante groups who will be trained on relevant policing techniques,” he said.
He noted further that his government will strive to modernize school infrastructure at all levels, with at least three model primary schools and three model secondary schools built in each local government of the state on assumption of office.
The guber hopeful however, regretted that the local government councils have abysmally failed to rise up to the challenges history has bestowed on them as a result of bountiful harvest of accruable revenue from the federal account over the years.
