There were series of complaints of ballot hijacking by thugs allegedly sponsored by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) around Riyom, Barkin Ladi and parts of Jos North LGA of Plateau State in Saturday’s polls.
Our correspondent gathered that at polling unit 007 Danwal in Bum ward, Riyom LGA, thugs, allegedly sponsored by a former minister in the area were said to have hijacked ballot papers, beat up the agent of the APC and chase them out.
A witness claimed the papers were moved to homes of politicians in the area for possible thumb printing.
Also, Plateau North Senatorial candidate of the APC, Eunice Ayisa Sambo complained to journalists that APC agents were chased out from many polling units such as Gada biyu.
