A witness said the accident happened around 8pm when the driver of an unmarked trailer overtook another vehicle dangerously and hit a Volkswagen Golf car with registration number GNN 77 AA, injuring three person including the driver.
He said the Golf driver lost control and fell into a ditch by the road side, adding that officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) later arrived the scene to convey the victims to the hospital.
When contacted, Abaji FRSC unit commander, Moses Audu, confirmed the accident, saying the three injured victims were taken to Abaji General Hospital for attention. He further disclosed that one person was also injured in another accident that occurred last Friday night involving two vehicles at Awawa village, along Abuja-Lokoja road.
According to him, the accident happened around 7:12 pm when a Mercedes Benz truck with registration number AKK 96 XA overtook dangerously and rammed into a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number EKY 405 XF, injuring one person inside the bus.
