Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ashaka Cement; a subsidiary of Lafarge Africa Mallam Suleiman Yahyah has been honoured with the title of Dan Amar of Akko emirate in Gombe State.
Yahyah was crowned on Thursday by the Emir of Akko, Alhaji Umar Mohammed Atiku in his palace after the Maiganga N700 million concrete road ground breaking ceremony was held. The road is to be constructed by Ashaka cement in Akko Local Government area of the State.
The Emir said Yahyah’s recognition was part of effort to strengthen the relationship between the communities and the company.
He commended the company for executing many projects in Gombe State.
He said the flag-off of the construction of the road marks the end of feud between youths and the company and commended the State Governor for his numerous supports which led to the commencement of the project.
Yahyah thanked the emirate for the honor done to him and the company.
Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo donated a white horse to Yahyah at the occasion.
