The disagreement became public knowledge following announcement of the ward congresses results by leader of the committee, Dr Almajiri Geidam.
Geidam, while announcing the results, said the committee, after scrutinizing the results and studying various reports from its officials, the committee could only make public results of congresses in 182 wards and cancelled 30 others due to glaring irregularities.
He said the committee had upheld ward congress in 14 out of the 20 local government areas that included Jama’are, Itas Gadau,Katagum, Shira, zaki, Misau, Darazo,Dambam, Warji, kirfi, Tafawa Balewa, Toro, Dass and Bogoro.
Geidam said the committee cancelled all the congresses in Giade, Ningi and cancelled congresses in five wards in Bauchi, two wards in Gamawa LGA, one ward in Alkaleri, and one in Ganjuwa Local Government areas and ordered for a rerun in all the affected 30 wards in six local government areas.
He said the re-run would be conducted on today and advised all the aggrieved members of the party to file their complaints before the appeal committee set up by the national leadership of the party.
But immediately after Geidam announced the results, some stakeholders called for the removal of the interim committee’s head, alleging that he was biased and had an anointed candidate in the contest.
Leading the stakeholders, former minister of police affairs, Ibrahim Yakubu Lame and Senator Suleiman Nazif Gamawa disagreed with the results and alleged that the committee violated all the guidelines put in place by APC’s national leadership.
They alleged that the chairman used fake police report to produce the result of the election, saying such report could not be relied on in announcing the results of the congresses.
But Geidam insisted every aggrieved person should forward his complaints to the appeal committee.
