The Buhari Support Organisation (BSO) has described the ongoing anti-Buhari protests by some groups in the Federal Capital Territory as unnecessary, saying the protests are aimed at diverting the attention of Nigerians.

In an interview with Daily Trust in Abuja, yesterday, the Chairman, State Coordinators’ Forum of BSO, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdo Saulawa, noted that the protests were sponsored by some members of the opposition who wanted to attract unnecessary attention.

Saulawa, who is also the Coordinator, Katsina State chapter of the organisation, disclosed that he recently visited President Muhammadu Buhari in London, and was satisfied with his level of recovery.

He added that Buhari was just waiting for his doctors before he finally returned to the country.

Recall that a group under the aegis of ‘Our Mumu Don Do’ recently embarked on protests calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to resume work or resign.

The BSO coordinator further noted that although the group had the right to organise a peaceful protest, President Buhari equally had the constitutional right to embark on medical vacation, adding that the constitution had not been breached since the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, was constitutionally discharging the duties of the president.
