The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Barrister Razak Atunwa made the observation while reacting to the death of the monarch.
A statement by his Media aide, Alhaji Abdul-Rahman Sanni described the emir as a kind-hearted, caring and nationalistic Nigerian who built friendship beyond ethno-religious boundary and enjoined Nigerians to immortalize him by imbibing his sterling qualities to ensure restoration of peace and accelerated development of the country.
He explained that the emir who died at the age of 83 had contributed significantly to the socio-economic well-being of his people in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
The statement said Kano state, northern Nigeria in particular, and Nigeria would miss his wisdom and wealth of experience while tackling the problem of insurgency bedeviling the nation.
He sympathized with the government and people of Kano state over his demise and prayed Allah to grant him Al-janat fidaus, and the government, as well as the people of Kano state, the fortitude to bear the loss.
