Human Right lawyer, Ebunolu Adegboruwa, has hailed the Senate’s decision not to confirm Mr. Ibrahim Magu as EFCC boss.
Adegboruwa told Daily Trust in Lagos yesterday that EFCC needs fresh blood, saying Magu’s tenure as acting chairman has been fraught with all sorts of controversies.
“The impression is that without Mr. Ibrahim Magu, EFCC will collapse. We should not build our institutions around individuals, that has been our challenge in nation building and all we need to do is to build institutions so that individuals who step into them will function effectively not the other way round. There are 180million people in Nigeria, let the President search well and get a competent person to head that organization. It doesn’t have to be Mr. Magu,” he said.
