The BringBackOurGirls (BBOG) has once again proposed for implementation the verification, authentification and reunification system of all abducted victims of insurgency by the Federal Government.
The group said this in a statement signed by its conveners, Oby Ezekwesili and Hadiza Bala Usman over the weekend.
The group said the primary task of the team was to work with every abducted victim’s family and community to accurately ascertain the true identity of such individuals.
It also plans to follow their accurate identification, comprehensive programme for recovery, rehabilitation, resettlement and reintegration that would be made available to them.
According to the statement, the process would entail the setting up of a Missing Persons’ Register noting that the team could comprise the National Security Adviser; leaders of the Counter Insurgency Task Force; Department of State Security, Adamawa, Borno and Yobe state governments, local government authorities and traditional leaders; and representatives of the abducted victims.
