The award was presented by the association’s president, Khalil Shemsudeen Khalil and the scribe, Ayodele Omotayo Blessing for the awardee’s outstanding leadership and contribution to developmental issues in the FCT.
Sokodabo said the call to acquire more skills apart from the formal education became imperative because of the scarcity of white-collar jobs in the country.
“Self-reliance will sustain you after graduation than looking for collar jobs so you have to build yourselves with entrepreneurial ship skills,” he said.
He also promised to give guidance to the students at any point his attention was needed.
The Tafidan Abaji, while receiving the award thanked the association for finding him worthy of the recognition.
The association’s president, Khalil, said the award was given to Sokodabo in recognition of his contributions towards human capital development, especially in the areas of education and vocational training.
“We are presenting this award to you for your support to youths and also in recognition of your support for girl child education and women empowerment. Your provision of mentor-ship to young people and leadership excellence is so noted,” Khalil said
